We have been learning about Diwali. We listened to the story, then worked together to make a bridge to help the monkeys rescue Sita. We also learnt how Diwali is celebrated. We made our own diva pots and designed mendhi patterns for our hands.

After talking about Remembrance Day and why we wear poppies, we worked together to make a giant handprint poppy to share with the rest of the school.

We listened to the 1812 overture and talked about how the music made us feel. We made movements with our bodies then we used crayons to make marks to show our fireworks.

As part of our RE topic, we have been learning about welcoming others. We were learning about how we are welcomed into God's family through baptism. We discussed the special artefacts used and shared photos of our own baptisms. The children took part in role playing a baptism and they made a baptisms candle.
